Super Mario has finally made his way on to non-Nintendo consoles with the release of Super Mario Run for the iPhone.

Players can race Mario across 24 courses collecting coins in order to save Princess Peach. Each course has additional difficulties where players must collect pink, purple and black coins.

The game also includes Toad Rally where you can race against the ghost of other players in an effort to attract more Toads to your kingdom.

The game is free to download, but you'll need to make an in app purchase to get past the first few levels.

It'll be appearing on Android early next year.
