5. LEGO Lord of the Rings: The Mines of Moria

First on our list are the Mines of Moria which featured a giant cave troll, 2 skeletons, 2 orcs and Pippin, Boromir, Gimli and Legolas.
It was 776 pieces big and released all the way back in June 2012.
4. LEGO Lord of the Rings: The Battle of Helm's Deep

The walled fortress at Helm's Deep is represented in this LEGO set release in 2012.
The set focused on the battle with the Uruk-hai army and included 8 minifigures: Aragorn, Gimli, Haldir, King Théoden, Berserker Uruk-hai and 3 Uruk-hai. It could also be combined with another Urah-hai army set (9471) to create bigger more epic battles.
3. LEGO Lord of the Rings: Tower of Orthanc

Back in 2013, the Tower of Orthanc was the largest LOTR LEGO set ever released. Although 2359 pieces it still managed to measure 73cm high.
It included a Great Eagle which could be used to rescue stranded Gandalf the Grey from his tower-top prison after his defeat at the hands of the white wizard, Saruman.
It also included a tree-like Ent, with poseable limbs and cool swinging arm function; and 5 minifigures.
It originally retailed for £169.99/$199.99/€199.99 but now fetches almost four times the price.
2. LEGO Lord of the Rings: Barad-dûr

The Lord of the Rings saw a LEGO revival in 2023 and thanks to the success of Rivendell, the towering Barad-dûr was released in 2024.
Measuring 83cm high, the top of the tower includes the Eye of Sauron which rotates and illuminates.

Rivendell includes 6,167 bricks and 15 minifigures including Frodo, Sam, Bilbo Baggins, Boromir, Gimli, Aragorn, Legolas and Gandalf the Grey.
It measures over 39 cm (15 in.) high, 75 cm (29.5 in.) wide and 50 cm (19.5 in.) deep and splits into 3 sections: the tower, the council ring and the gazebo with river and bridge.
It retails for £429.99 / $499.99 / €499.99 and is out now.
