The highly anticipated 2D Sonic game Sonic Mania is heading for release on August 15th.
The game blends classic Sonic levels with all new level designs and zones and for those who have ordered the Collector's Edition IGN have posted an unboxing video.
The Sonic Mania Collector's Edition comes with:
- a Genesis/Mega Drive Collector's Sonic statue. The Genesis/Mega Drive takes elements from the US, Japanese and European SEGA consoles as it's inspiration. Hitting the power button will play the classic 'SEGA' theme that preceeded every Genesis Sonic game.
- a metallic collector's card
- a SEGA Cartridge with a pull out draw holding a Golden Ring
- a Sonic Mania digital download code
Sonic Mania hits consoles in digital download format only on August 15th.
