The Best LEGO Sets for Building Together

Stay social with LEGO

FeaturesUpdated

If the TV series LEGO Masters has taught us anything, it's that building LEGO together and working as a team is a lot of fun.

But most LEGO instructions are designed to be built in a linear fashion making it difficult to share the process.

In this article we take a look at some of the sets that are available for social build and play; together with some other approaches for getting more out of building LEGO with your friends.

Social LEGO Builds

Another way to make LEGO more social is to build the same set at the same time. Using video software such as Zoom or Microsoft Teams you can set up your webcam to build with the other person sharing tips and advice as you follow through the instructions at the same time.

This approach can be useful for avoiding costly mistakes on bigger builds, and you can keep roughly in time by informing your building partner when you are turning the page in the instructions booklet.

Alternatively, building similar sets in a social setting can be equally rewarding - for example the LEGO Helmet; BrickHeadz and Speed Champions range have models which are reasonably similar making for a more social experience.

Get Creative

Finally, if you and your friends have a reasonably sized pile of bricks; then why not challenge each other to come up with the most creative build? Set a theme and a time limit, and see what happens!
